Holly E. Fulton

Senior Partner
Holly E. Fulton

Born in Hartford, Connecticut but raised in the Sunshine State, Holly Fulton attended the University of Florida where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Degree with Honors. Fascinated by law, she continued her post-graduate studies at University of Florida, earning her J. D. Degree there in 1988.

Holly began her legal career at a Clay County firm formerly known as Kopelousos, Head, Smith, Townsend & Metcalf. It was there that she met lawyers Robert J. Head, Jr., and John B. Moss, and in 1998 the three of them formed their own Law Firm of Head, Moss & Fulton, P.A., located on Fleming Island.  Bob and John concentrated on Business and Real Estate Law while Holly brought her specialty of Family Law into the mix. It was a very successful collaboration, particularly because Holly was so familiar with valuing closely held corporations and the application of business principles in the Family Law setting, all based on her UF Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

Through the years the firm grew steadily and earned a first class reputation for legal representation throughout Clay County and the state of Florida.  In 2013, the three lawyers welcomed Alexandra Griffin as their fourth partner and Head, Moss, Fulton & Griffin, P. A. was born.  Sadly, three years later, the firm lost both Bob Head and John Moss to illness.

Today Holly E. Fulton is the senior partner of Head, Moss, Fulton and Griffin, P.A.  The firm and Holly personally, are AV rated by Martindale Hubbell and other top legal rating companies. Her practice of Family Law includes everything from simple uncontested divorce to extremely complicated cases, all conducted with a personal touch that sets Holly apart from other Family Law attorneys.  She is also an expert in cases related to paternity, child support, time-sharing with minor children, and all matters involving children.  Most recently Holly became a Certified Family Law Mediator, adding a whole new dimension to the Family Law division of the firm.

Alexandra "Ali" B. Griffin, Esq.

Partner
Holly E. Fulton

“Ali,” as she is known by her colleagues, clients, family and friends, is a Florida native through and through. Born in Sebring, she decided to stay in-state for college and headed for Tallahassee and Florida State University for her B.S. Degree in Business.  From there, Ali went to Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville where she earned a Book Award for Appellate Brief and served as a Teaching and Research Assistant for Contracts. She earned her J.D. Degree from Florida Coastal in 2007 and was admitted to the Florida Bar Association the same year.

While in law school, Ali found she had an affinity for Business and Real Estate Law. She decided she really liked living in Northern Florida and began looking for a law firm there that would suit her area of interest and expertise. She found Head, Moss & Fulton, P. A.  It was a perfect fit. So much so, that in 2013, Alexandra B. Griffin became a partner in the firm now known as Head, Moss, Fulton & Griffin, P.A.

Today, Ali handles all areas of commercial and residential real estate transactions. She is a specialist in U.S. Small Business Administration Loans including SBA 504 (she is a Certified 504 Closing Attorney) and 7a loans, as well as construction loans and non-Real Estate transactions. She performs closings on every imaginable property type while also handling financing, leasing and business purchases and sales. In addition to representing various lending institutions throughout Clay County and beyond, Ali is an active member of the Clay County Bar Association, an Affiliate of Northeast Florida Association of Realtors, NAIOP Northeast Florida Developing Leaders, and the Northeast Florida Small Business Resource Network.

In Remembrance

Robert James Head Jr.

Robert James Head Jr.

“Robert Head, to his core, was a decent, kind and elegant man who served as a role model not just to his peers and younger lawyers, but to all who knew him in the business, legal and governmental communities in Clay and Duval County. He will be remembered and missed by all.”

Board of County Commissioners,
Clay County, Florida

Bob was an amazing husband, father, lawyer and friend who truly made a difference in all the lives he touched.  Born in Atlanta, GA, he earned his law degree at the University of Florida then served as an Army Captain and Assistant Staff Judge Advocate in Vietnam. When it was time to come home he decided “home” was Florida, especially Clay County and Orange Park, where he lived and worked for over 45 years specializing in Real Estate and Business Law.

Bob was a man of many “firsts.” He was one of the first lawyers to open his own practice in Orange Park; he helped thousands of Clay County residents close on their first-ever homes; he was the first Florida Bar Board Certified real estate lawyer practicing in Clay County; he was a charter member of the Clay County Bar Association; and he headed up the boards or served as a member of more business and community organizations than we can mention.

In 1998, Bob joined with John Moss, a young lawyer he had mentored in Real Estate and Business Law, and Holly Fulton, a rising star in Family Law, and formed the law firm of Head, Moss & Fulton, P.A. on Fleming Island.  Under Bob’s stellar leadership, the law firm grew exponentially and in 2013, the practice welcomed Alexandra Griffin as a fourth partner.

In September 2016, Robert James Head, Jr., lost his valiant battle with cancer and the entire legal community of Florida felt the loss. The law firm he helped create and build – Head, Moss, Fulton and Griffin, P.A. – will proudly carry on in his name and his honor.

John Butler Moss

John Butler Moss

“John was one of those rare individuals who made everyone he met feel special. He had a kind heart and a fun-loving nature that made it a pleasure to be around, whether at work or play. He will be missed dearly.”

The Family of John Moss

John was born in Jacksonville, Florida, and grew up in Orange Park. He received his BA Degree from the University of Florida and his law degree from the University of Mississippi and was admitted to the bars of both states. He chose to return to Florida where he could be with lifelong friends and family and the beach he loved.

Ultimately, John joined a law firm in Orange Park that would change his life forever. It was there he met Robert Head who took him under his wing and helped him become an expert in Real Estate and Business Law. In 1998, John and Bob joined with Family Law specialist Holly Fulton to form their own law firm of Head, Moss and Fulton P.A. on Fleming Island.

Throughout the ensuing years, John never forgot how to balance business and pleasure. He was a wonderful father and husband who happily shared his love of snow skiing, camping, boating and traveling with his family. He was also the consummate Florida Gator fan who never missed a home game or the tailgating that went with it.

John was a well-respected member of the Clay County legal and business communities and actively served in the Orange Park Rotary Club and the American and Clay County Bar Associations. As his law practice grew, John joined Bob and Holly in 2013 in welcoming Alexandra Griffin as their new partner, and his firm officially became Head, Moss, Fulton & Griffin, P.A.

John Butler Moss lost his courageous fight against cancer in August 2016, barely a month before his friend and law partner Bob Head passed away. It is comforting to think they are together, holding court in a higher place and happy knowing the law firm they founded will continue in their name with the same sense of caring and integrity that was their benchmark.
